Croatia took part in the celebration of the International Mediterranean Day
This year, Croatia, as one of the 42 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean, joined the first celebration of the International Mediterranean Day, which is celebrated on November 28, spreading messages about the importance of strengthening the Mediterranean identity and cooperation of Euro-Mediterranean countries.
The National Foundation for Civil Society Development, as the coordinator of the Croatian Network for Cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean, has prepared a short video clip aimed at raising awareness of the importance of preserving this area and contributing to promoting dialogue, knowledge and diversity of Euro-Mediterranean region by developing tolerance and openness to new knowledge, religions, cultures and values.
Croatian Network for Cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean is part of the network of national networks of civil society organizations affiliated with the Anna Lindh Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue (ALF), which includes 42 countries as a form of multilateral partnership within the Union for the Mediterranean, which is institutionally connected to the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, better known as the Barcelona Process.
The National Foundation, in the role of Coordinator of the Croatian Network for Cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean, as the Croatian component of the ALF, has been managing the National Network since 2009, providing membership and the general public with information on ALF activities and tenders, facilitating project-oriented activities such as finding partners and applying for projects, ensures the promotion of activities, organizes annual meetings for members of the Croatian Network, maintains daily communication with the ALF Secretariat in Alexandria (Egypt) and contributes to the development of annual and three-year ALF programs.
