October 1st marks the European Day of Philanthropy and Foundations
European Foundation for Philanthropy and Social Development, as the coordinator of the Croatian Forum of Foundations entitled ZaDobro.BIT! in cooperation with the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, organises the celebration of October 1 - European Day of Philanthropy and Foundations, under the common title Philanthropy Week 2020. Numerous activities will be organised in major Croatian cities during this year's Philanthropy Week, in the period from September 20 to October 4, 2020.
At the same time, given that this year the emphasis will be on the virtual form of implementation of activities (in order to prevent the spreading of COVID-19 infection), a virtual exhibition on the history of philanthropy in Croatia is being prepared, based on previously collected information / materials presented in the first Philanthropy Week in Croatia, organised in 2016. Also, audio-visual material (a short film about philanthropy) is available on official online channel of the National Foundation and can be downloaded for the purpose of promoting the Philanthropy Week 2020.
The main goal of marking the European Day of Philanthropy is to motivate as many citizens as possible to contribute to the further development of philanthropy in Croatia, through their own engagement.
