On October 1, Croatia marks the European Day of Foundations and Donors - Philanthropy Week 2021.
European Foundation for Philanthropy and Social Development as the coordinator of the Croatian Foundation Forum ZaDobro.BIT!, which consist of 43 members, in cooperation with National Foundation for the Development of Civil Society, for the sixth time is involved in the celebration of the European Day of Foundations and Donors in the period from 1 to 10 October 2021.
The members of the Croatian Foundation Forum ZaDobroBIT!, listed in the Calendar of Events (below), are organizing numerous activities aimed at motivating as many citizens as possible to contribute to the further development of philanthropy in Croatia.
This year, as in previous, a virtual exhibition on the history of philanthropy in Croatia is being promoted based on previously collected information / materials presented at the first celebration in 2016, as well as a short film on philanthropy available on official Youtube and Vimeo and can be shared to mark Philanthropy Week 2021.
At the same time, due to the implementation of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection and the desire to involve children and young people in the activities, National Foundation launches Pilot Program based on the international mobile platform 'DoGood People'' by including 13 schools from Croatia. Children and young people will be encouraged to do group challenges programmed to achieve and implement the UN's Global Goals for Sustainable Development for 2030 in their everyday routine.
